With all of this planning and painfully watching the countdown, I was wondering . When does it really hit you that you really are going back to WDW. I get excited when I book and when I make my ADRs, but it doesn't really sink in until I see my first travel date on the 10 day weather forcast. For DW it's when we bring the suitcases out. How about you?

we just had to pay our final deposit and when i went to the travel agent, my heart skipped a little beat! it's like i knew i was finally going! either that or i thought i was going to have a heart attack from the money i was spending.

I really feel like i'm going when i bring the suitcase upstairs and start packing. also when i walk out of work and know i won't be back for several days because i'm going on vacation!!!! that's when it is real!

It really hit me last week when my AAA agent called and said I could pick up my paperwork. That was exciting. Also, watching my countdown change to under 20 days. WoW, I'm in the teens. It finally seems real and now time seems to be moving quicker.
I've been planning this trip for awhile because we don't go every year anymore. It seems like it's been forever.

I think when I leave the office the day before I go. Walking out the door and knowing that I will be in WDW when I would usually be working really makes me smile. I'm smiling just thinking about it and I don't go again until November!

For me it is driving onto the WDW property. I love that!!!!!!!!!

I think it REALLY hits me when we land in Orlando. Knowing that when we get off there is Disney stuff everywhere gets me so excited!

I also get more and more excited as we drive onto property. There is nothing like driving under the "Welcome to DisneyWorld" sign :goodvibes .

Only 12 more days... the excitement is building!!!!!!!!!!!

When I drive through the gates and see welcome to WDW. I get a little amped up like a 10 year old. :thumbsup2

It's hitting me NOW! Just 1 week to go and we'll be at WDW!! :cool1: We can't wait!!!!!!!

loading up the luggage into our car the day before we leave!!!

56 days until we go!
55 days until we load up the car!!!

For me it's really a two part-er. When I make the ressies that's a real high. That lasts about a week of true excitement. Then it's back to everyday life. Now the next big day is when DH gets the suitcases out of the attic. Then I know it's really happening. ::MickeyMo ::MinnieMo

It smacked me in the face the other day!

Today we're counting on two hands! tomorrow is the single digit dance! :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

It hits me a little when I make the ADRs. I get excited to know that part is done. But when we got our ME tags and then finally the luggage tags from WDW, WOW!!! We are really going!!!!!! pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust:

It always hits me on the day that I make my reservation to go on vacation to the "house of the mouse" and the DREADFUL countdown begins. Little steps along the way, like hitting double digits, getting my DME tickets in the mail, my final documents, and the night before. I think the night before your trip is probably my worst time. Like the commercial on TV none of us can sleep a wink, too busy thinking about Disney. For my husband the last night at home is dreadful for him because he is scared to death of flying. I have only 48 days to go!!!!!!

Disgram,

We are practically neighbors- when are you going?? We are going 9/19-9/26, staying at AS Sports.

I always love the feeling when I make my ressies. I am getting ready to call and make some changes in the next few days, and I am excited about THAT. Best of all, I like it when I complete my last obligation before I am officially on vacation. Then it is all about getting to FLA. :cool1: This particular trip is had on me because we have had such short prep time before our last few trips (3 weeks at the most). This time we are travelling in late October, but planned starting in June! Too much lead time for me... now I just can't stand the wait. At least my countdown timer is about half of what it used to be.

For me, it's when I book the airfare. Once I have that there is no turning back.

I usually book room-only ressies, those can be cancelled 5 days before date of arrival and I can get a full refund. Same things with ADRs, I can cancel them without any type of penalty.

I have my airfare for our 11/18 - 11/25 trip...so we are REALLY going!

For me making the ressies, making ADR, making payments, receiving papers all are milestones but loading the car the night before we leave is like starting the vacation!!!! Then the feeling when we FINALLY drive under that Disney Banner, WOW!!!! :cheer2:

We leave 2 weeks from today.....Getting excited!!!
