when does disney decorate for xmas

Hi, I havent been back to the dis boards since early 2004. Now I find myself planning another trip to WDW. We are going Dec 3-10th 2005! What I want to know is: Will the parks be decorated for xmas at that time? We are taking my 3 year old GD and my 9 year old twins! First visit for us at that time of year. I know(hope) crowds will be down and hope the weather is good, but want the kids to see the park decorated! Sorry is this has been posted before, I did a search, but could'nt find it. Thanks

We've arrived on Thanksgiving Day the last two years and all the decorations were already up. Simply beautiful!

This year, the decorations were up by the day before Thanksgiving, but they started putting them up earlier than that.

We were at WDW from Dec. 3-13 of this year and everything was ready for Christmas! You picked a great time to go-smaller crowds and you get to enjoy the beautiful decorations. I've read before that decorations go up Thanksgiving-so myou're in luck! Highly recommend going to the MVMCP-we loved it!

I just watched a special on the Travel Channel about this called "Walt Disney World Holidays". They said they start decorating for Christmas at the end of October. They decorate during the night to keep the "magic".

They take the decorations down sometime in early January. It seems the dates vary year to year. I've been 3 times the very first week in January (leaving for my fourth time Saturday). But one thing's for sure, if there's something you want to see, get there FAST! One year, I arrived January 2 and saw all the Christmas decorations in Epcot. Two days later I went back-POOF! It all came down so quickly!
