When does deed come?

Can anyone help? We purchased a resale several weeks ago and so far we have received a package called "New Member" but there is only a catalog in there...no cards or anything. What are we supposed to get and when can we make ressies?

First, Welcome Home and Congrats on your purchase...

Not sure exactly about resale, but you should call Member Services and check about when you can make reservations. I know when you purchase from DVC, you can make reservations the day after you make your purchase... even before the closing or recording of the deed.

Like I mentioned, I'm not sure about resale, but it sounds like DVC knows about your purchase becuase they already sent you the new member package. You might be able to make reservations now... But.. Give Member Services a call and I'm sure they'll have the answer.

We bought on Feb 1 and have not received our deed or member cards yet but I made our first ressies Monday. They looked me up using my social security number and then they actually gave me my member number over the phone. They are really backed up on the processing and deed recording right now.

We got a call from our guide on Valentine's Day telling us that our deed had been recorded that day. A follow-up letter said we'd get a copy of the deed within 90(!) days. But we made ressies before that-actually we thought it was a little funny that we could go ahead and make ressies on our points once we made the down-payment, even before we were approved for the financing.

We just bought a resale too!!!! OKW....We signed the purchase agreement 10 days ago and are very anxious for everything to close. When you talk about getting the deed, is that when we transfer the money to the buyer...I guess I really don't know much about the details.....I am really relying on our salesperson, Jaki, with A Timeshare Broker. I am concerned about being able to make reservations as soon as possible. We would like to take the whole extended family to OKW, our new home, for New Year's. Time is of the essence!!!!!! When do you think we will be able to start making ressies?

LDP.... you are looking at another 3 weeks or so. Maybe 2..... The good news is once you wire the money your only days away from being able to book! We closed Tuesday the 26th of Feb and I was able to make ressies a week later ( a small glicth in the system prevented me from having points in my account on Monday the 4th....)

It is hard waiting! I know. But now that I have the first DVC ressie under my belt I am planning our next trip! LOL
