When does Christmas Tree go up in MK?

I've been reading (and rereading) all articles on MVMCP I can find just for fun. We've been 4 times in the past 10 years and we're going again this year, but we've always gone during December and this year we'll be going in mid-November. I've read on some sites that the decorations are up but that the tree doesn't go up until December. Does anyone know if this is true?

This is correct, it doesn't go up until the second week of December.

More specifically, it goes up immediately after parade taping weekend.

It's too bad as we were really looking forward to seeing it...especially at MVMCP. I was sure it was up in 2010 when we were there the week before (Dec. 1-5) the parade taping.

Probably not as recently as 2010.

They used to (several years ago) put the MK Christmas Tree up for the first weeks of MVMCP... in the hub near the Plaza Restaurant before the Christmas Parade taping, then took the tree down and moved it to its regular spot in Town Square a 2-3 days after the Christmas Parade taping.
I'm trying to pinpoint the date that they ended this "up-down-up" tree situation, and I think is may have been about 2005-2007, or so.

Yes, it is too bad they changed it, I am sure out of the desire for holding on to more $$$$. It was nice when they had it in the Rose Garden near the castle until the parade filming was complete, and then moved over to Town Square where it belongs. Now they just don't put it up and many thousands miss seeing it for the several weeks before the parade weekend is over.
