When do your kids start back to school?

Hi everyone,
The other thread asking about when kids get out of school for the summer got me thinking. When do your kids start school? Our district starts the 2nd week of September. We're planning a trip for August 13-20, and I am trying to make myself feel better about crowds by imagining that a lot of schools are back in session by then.

We don't have any children, but the schools here start the new school year around the 2nd or 3rd week of August.

My kids start back about a week or two before Labor Day.

we return from WDW the wk before so he'll have at least a few days at home(hopefully) before returning

My kids start back right AFTER Labor Day - we however go to school until the end of June!

We Start back the Wednesday after Labor Day. We finish around the 25th of June. We get three 1 week breaks- Christmas (sometimes 2 weeks) February and April recess. I so look forward to those "sanity" breaks

We've been to WDW either the second or third week in August in 7 of the last 10 years, and the crowds are very manageable. Use FastPass, get to the parks early, take a midday break, and then go back out in the evening. Don't stress it!!

We go back August 25th. We're going to WDW August 10 -16.

August 10th for us in GA private school. The public systems start back earlier, most between Aug 1st and 8th. We get out in May though.

As of right now, school is starting the Tues after Labor Day, but there is another bill in the state legislature to reinstate the manditory after Labor Day start. If that doesn't pass, our district will probably start the week before Labor Day sometime. We get out at the end of May because they really limit days off during the school year.

July 27th is the first day of school--a half day. They start the full day schedule Aug 1.
