When do your kids go back to school?

Our son goes back August 18. I only wish that we had any cooler days before he had to go back but no such luck.

Aug 27. And we get back from WDW on Aug 23, so have to get cracking on that school shopping today!!!!

Aug 25th here, but I miscalculated back in January when I made my WDW reservations, so DD4.5 won't actually start until Tues after Labor Day. She gets to spend her first week at WDW. Oooooppps.

My daughter will be a freshman and my son will be in 4th grade. I'll miss them being around all day, I love when they're home.

DD starts on 9\3, that is "freshman mini-day" at her high school.(wisconsin) Right now we are on vacation in Stone Mountain, GA: some of the schools in this area went back on Monday. DD has a friend down here and he starts on Monday. I am not looking forward to the end of summer, I love having DD home!!!!!

Normally they would go back around August 28, but because labor day this year is so early, they are starting September 2. Not soon enough for me if you ask me, they are more than ready to go back!

The first day of school is August 25, but then they have off that Friday and Monday for Labor Day.

Band camp is August 11 followed by preseason sport on August 15.

Next Thursday! Just over a week! It just dawned on me today that it is just over a week. I started crying!! I didn't think I would be upset when she went to Kindergarten! Ugh! I'm just thankful it is only 1/2 day Kindergarten because I don't think I'm ready to be without her for a full day yet. I look at her and she still seems so little but she is such a social butterfly that I know she will do really well. *breathe in breathe out*

DS starts 7th grade on 9/2.
DD starts 8th grade on 9/3.

I like that they give the 7th graders a day in the school without the 8th graders.
And DD is THRILLED to have an extra day home!

Both DS (high school) and DD (middle school) start school on Sept. 3rd. They both have half a day the first day. DD has a 6th grade orientation/barbeque on August 27th so that they get familiar with the school, classrooms, etc. without the 7th and 8th graders being there.
