When do your kids go back to school this fall?

When making travel plans, it always helps to know various school schedules.

Would you mind posting when your kids start back to school this fall after their summer breaks?

I am in Az and my son starts school on Aug. 13th. Seems crazy to be starting in the middle of August!

In Northern California and our private school starts 8/19. eeek! that's ony another month and a half!!

Our local school district is on an "extended school year" schedule. The kids go back to school on July 28th (after a 8 week summer).

However they are also one of the school districts that crowd DL in the Fall. They have a 2 week fall break which this year is Sept 28 - Oct 9th.
We are planning on going Sept 26-30th to hopefully beat some of the October crowds!

Here in Oregon public schools start after Labor Day. My school district doesn't start until September 9th this year - of course, we don't get out for next summer until June 15th (as long as there's no snow days!).

CA here.....college [community college] starts Aug 17th for Fall semester...... Public Elementary, Middle schools, and High Schools start Sept 1

Wow, I never realized there were so many August starting schools.
Here (Northwest Washington) we are Sept 1 (and that is only becuse the late date of Labor Day--normall start tuesday or wed after labor day). Other neighboring districs are Aug 31 or Sept 2
