When do your kids get out for Summer?

Our girls get out of school for the year on May 23rd (I know, freakishly early) We are trying to squeeze in a quick trip to the world before my 2 year-old turns 3 (July) and my 9 year-old graduates to adult status by Disney standards (August). I'm thinking the last week in May but was wondering when other school districts around the country break for summer.

We actually have year-round school, so the kids get breaks throughout the year but the school year officially ends in late June. It's so hot here in the summer that it works out really well to have the kids in school during that time. Also, you can travel during off-season, which is great.

NYC public and Catholic schools both get out the last week of June.

Kids in Chicago suburbs generally get out during the first week of June, but some high schools get out the last week of May. Chicago public schools go another week or so longer.

I am a teacher at a high school--last day is June 6th. My own kids get out the same day. Day we leave for WDW--June 7th!

Southern NJ here. Our school is out June 16th and most of the districts around us are out generally around the same time give or take two or three days at from the 16th.

Wow some of you get out wayyy early... cool.. I don't count but my kids get off the last week of June... I think June 20 th this year, which is early for us by 3 to 4 days.

They get out early, but they most likely return to school in early August.

We don't start back until after Labor Day.

Texas starts in the middle of the scorching month of August and if we get no Ice days, gets out June 5th this year...

We get out the first week of June in general here in Minnesota, but some do go into the second week of June.

NY catholic school - june 19th...

NY public school (my mom drives bus) - june 28th or so

(we all go back after labor day)
