When do you.....

When do you get up when you stay at Disney? We are a family of four ataying at the CR. I was thinking 6:30AM to get ready, have a lite breakfast. That way we could be out the door by 7:15 or so. Would that be sufficient to get to most parks from the CR?

It completely depends on whether you are doing the EMH mornings or not. If you are, that is a perfect plan. That is exactly what we do if we want to get to the parks by opening time, which is 8:00 am, one hour before the public can get in. If you are going to a park that isn't opening early, then you don't have to leave your room till about 8:20 or so, to catch the bus or monorail. Have fun!

we're not planning on doing early entry days - (will do the nights though)

planning on each of the parks one for their openings - so getting up at 7 for coffee, get DS up at 730, out the door by 8amish, to the parks for opening
for AK will push everything up one hour

I think it also depends on what time of the year you're going. When my sister at I went in Jan 04 we go to the entrance at around 7:45 or so. Barely anyone was at the entrance.

I get up before dawn, grab a coffee and walk the resort. I don't want to waste a minute of my trip, and it's nice to enjoy the beauty and the quiet before the craziness starts. When my cup is empty I go wake the gang up, we like to get an early start. Your timing sounds good to me. I'm glad you chose the CR, excellent choice IMO.

we normally get up around 6.30 have breakfast and make sure we are at the parks for opening time. dont want to waste a single minute of our holiday.

Excellent! Iwas concerned I needed to get up earlier then that. We are going May 14 - 22nd and figured the crowds would be moderate. I want to get in the parks ASAP So I am goint to try to be at the parks 1/5 hur to 45 minutes before opening. Thanks everyone!

the sched i posted above was for our 1st wk
our 2nd wk im planning on relaxing by Stormalong Bay/WL pools while DS either sleeps or joins me - not planning on the parks those days till late afternoon/night
