Although I loved the decorations in December, crowds were horrible. Aug & Sept are too hot - although Sept had the lowest crowds. I voted Oct because weather is great, crowds aren't terrible, Food & Wine Festival, and MNSSHP

I chose May.

DH and I visit in May because it's our anniversary month and what better time to be in Disney! :jester: :smooth:

We go many times a year, so we've been at WDW during every month. In order of preference:

September
December
November
October
May
January
February
April
March
June
August
July

I went with early March. We traveled March 1-8 this year and it was the best WDW vacation we've had!! The weather was perfect and walked on to almost every ride. We're debating on Sept, Oct or November next year so I'm interested in reading the responses!

I have been in every month except January and February, but my favorite is December. I love the holiday decorations and CP is my favorite.

One of the reasons I did this poll. To see everyone's opinion of the different times of the year (crowds, weather, pricing, etc....). Maybe someone who is thinking of a particular month will gain insight to the pros and cons of each month.

I answered February (we go before peak) only because the weather when we have gone that month has been perfect and hardly any crowds. Early October was hot but not crowded. I can't wait for our December trip to see how it compares. August was the worst for crowds and heat.

I'm thinking I actually prefer December. THe cooler weather, the lower crowds. It's hard to go for us in December, but here lately, we've been trying to make it work.

I voted for July because I like to go during the July 4th week myself.

Anytime that is hot is fine because I can't stand cold weather.

May through August is good.

We've gone January, May, July, September and December.
By far, my favorite is December because of the holiday. September is second favorite.
My least favorite is July.

Because of our kids school vacations, we go in April. I like that time better than the Feb school vacation because in Feb we would come back and still have to deal with more winter here in MA, yuch. In April when we return the weather here is starting to get better and we no longer need to deal with the cold. During the summer the weather is nice enough here that I have no desire to go to Florida.

To me....the first two weeks of December are the best weather wise and crowd wise.::yes::

I chose April because that is when our kids are out for Spring Break and the weather is not too hot (DH's requirement - he hates hot weather). However, if the school schedule were not an issue and I could go any month of the year, I'd pick May. The weather is warm (I hate the cold!), crowds are moderate (just enough people to give the parks a 'festive' atmosphere'), and there is very little rain. I can't think of a better time to go.

A few years ago my family began spending Thanksgiving Weekend at WDW. On Thanksgiving some of us enjoy a round of golf at Bonnet Creek, while the rest of the family spends the day in one of the parks. At the end of the day we all gather (we now total 14) at Olivia's for a wonderful turkey dinner. Last year we had a large table out on the patio, where we were able to enjoy the outdoor holiday lights put up by CM's and DVC members. Another benefit for Thanksgiving is that holiday decorations, including the wonderful trees are up all around WDW.

My second choice is the first week of December for three reasons.

A) Mimimal crowds

B) Holiday decorations

C) Great weather for a New Englander looking to escape the cold.

Crowds not bad, holiday decorations and events,MVMCP,CP and weather is good most of the time.::yes:: :wave2:

Dw and I have enjoyed 2nd a 3rd weeks of may prior to 2000.Crowds were not that big, waits small most kids still in school so only those who chose to take the kids out of school were there.Parks were just ramping up for summer crowds. After 2000 prices have gone up crowds same size prior to 9/11 but parks were being run as off season, longer waits rides not being fully staffed and all ride lines not being utilized ie only half of space mountain and btmrr running. Dw was so disappointed in 03 she says we no go back for another3-5 years. It's sad since she was so into Disney till then. She said she'd rather take the DD's to Us,Sw, Bg and Nasa than "waste money on Disney. 11 trips, 14 years of marriage 2 DD's all but one trip spent on property you do the math. Did the cuts made and the money sucked out of the parks, fewer parades , shorter park hours, seasonal openings such as Cop, park hours that used to be printed a year in advance so you could plan. make the trips less magical, for us the answer is yes and we will show it by where we will spend our vacation dollars. But if and when we return it will be back in May again. Sorry for the rant just Disney deprived. Hoping that when ME is gone maybe THEY WILL LET THE MAGIC THAT WAS RETURN.
