Late lunch/early dinner on arrival day
or
for breakfast on the day we leave the World?
My DH loves breakfast food (and is a *very* picky eater....so breakfast is always a "play it safe" meal). I was thinking this breakfast on our last day before we head to the Universal parks would be a nice farewell to Disney.
On arrival day, I have us going to Epcot and just eating a QS meal. But now I'm wondering if it would be more magical for the kiddos if our first meal was at Chef Mickey's with the Fab 5!

It's the only character meal I wouldn't recommend. Still, for your son... he would probably not know any better
The food was still meh, but OK and the server we had was the BEST. But our last visit in 2006 was the end of that story. I can't see spending that $ for even the experience anymore. Not until they shape up and make the food semi-edible. We're not picky and don't mind buffet food, usually. But of the 2 you are choosing between, I'd go w/ breakfast. Breakfast staples are always there and usually decent enough. Fruit is fresh, eggs are usually OK as long as they are warm, cereal, hard as rock biscuits, waffles and juice, hey, it's breakfast. Don't do dinner if you can avoid it. There's nothing redeemable anymore.
