When do you stop hiding eggs on Easter?

Sorry. Had to say it. That was the first thing that came into my mind when I read the thread title. And I'm not even a blonde. LOL!!

My kids are 13 and 10 1/2. I told them this year that the Easter Bunny was not going to hide eggs this year, just their Easter baskets and my older one just looked at me, rolled her eyes and said,

"IT SOUNDS LIKE THE EASTER BUNNY IS GETTING LAZY!"

Well, last year my kids were 15 and 17 and the Easter Bunny didn't hide eggs just gave them some chocolate stuff. This year, by special request, begging actually, the Easter Bunny will hide eggs again.

My kids are 6 and 10, and the 10 year old is getting close to the age where this isn't something that is exciting for him anymore. I hate that. I want my kids to believe in Santa and the Easter Bunny 'till the bitter, bitter end. The older one told me last year he no longer believed in Santa, I told him if he was expecting something under that tree he'd better act like he believed.

I got 30 $1 bills and I'll be putting those in the plastic eggs we hide. Hoping it renews the magic of the Easter bunny!

my whole family gets together at my grandmas house and we all still have ot look for eggs....the grandkids range from 4-23,,,im 20 and try to get out of it, but we do it and they take videos every year and think its hilarious

We definitely found money was a strong motivator once the kids reached an age where self-image was important. When my niece was a college freshman, she tried to back out of the hunt but reconsidered when we pointed out how handy all those quarters would be for doing laundry in the dorm.

My kids are in the 5th & 8th grade, I'm thinking that they may be to old go hunting for eggs on Easter morning? When did you stop hiding the eggs for the kids?

My kids are 19.5 and almost 17 - they (along with DD's BF who is 21) just colored their eggs last night.

They insist on at least one egg hunt on Easter, sometimes more at the grandparents' houses as well! When they were much smaller, I would arise at 5:30 am and go out and hide the eggs - now we wait until after Church!

I told my DD the same thing when she was 10!!! She faked excitement and amazement very well!!

Do you want to come to my houses and hide some of those $$$ eggs??? I can fake excitement pretty darn well myself!!

Hey I fully admit to not being above paying my kids off! Whatever it takes!

DS is 14 and DD is 12 - Easter baskets with some candy and small presents will be on the table in the morning, and we too hide about 24 plastic eggs filled with coins outside (and we have 5 acres to hide things in!). Of course the kids know it is us, it is that continuance of holiday ritural that we all enjoy...

This year DD is the one who hauled out the Easter decorations, made a bunny cake, cooked the eggs, set up decorating the eggs. Since she decorated, I'll be the one who gets to take it all down, and that's OK - this works for me right now!
