When do you schedule BBB for your child?

I will be taking my first cruise this fall and would like to schedule a BBB for my daughter. I didn't know if people mostly do it on sea days, or if there is a good time to do it on a port day. The pirate party seems like a great time to do it one time (might do something princess-y another day), but will it be all booked up? And how do I know what night on my 7 night western Caribbean cruise it will be?

Hey! I will be booking my daughter into the BBB on the Fantasy two days: one day it will be the Pirate night (and we are all going to go--husband and son included) and the other time I'm going to get her a Princess makeover in connection with doing the Royal Court Tea. I would do it on a sea day and maybe in connection to another event like the tea or the Princess gathering? Or maybe do it on the first sea day because that is generally the formal night. Have you looked at the Personal Navigators for your cruise? They give you a decent idea of what to expect on the various days.

On my two 7 night Western itineraries, Pirate Night was the day we were on Cozumel. I would book the BBB for formal or semi formal night if your daughter would like to wear a princess dress that day (formal: first day at sea, usually the second night). semi-formal: usually the 6th night. That's what we are doing!
