When Do You Receive Your MagicBand(s)?

Would anyone be willing to tell me when you receive your MagicBands when staying onsite? Is it after you have paid the deposit? A certain number of days out? After you've paid in full?

If you look in your My Disney Experience account, you'll see you have until 30 days prior to your trip to customize them. At day 30, they are pulled for processing, then mailed to you. Just watch your account, it will guide you.

Received an email from Disney on Thursday that our magicbands were mailed out that day.
We arrive on October 16th

We check in on Oct 17th and according to USPS, we will receive magic bands tomorrow, Sept 21st.

We have always gotten ours at about 4-5 weeks out from check-in. As soon as the days are up to customize, they ship soon after... once they shipped, they were in our mailbox in a couple of days.

Can I cabbage a Magic Bands question onto this one? I'm surprising Mrs. Homie with our trip - she won't know about it until I wake her up and tell her we're going to the airport! Needless to say, a box of Magic Bands arriving at our house would spoil the surprise. Will CRO mail them to another address (or better yet, not mail them to us at all and just let us pick them up on arrival?)

MagicBands will be mailed to you about 4 weeks before arrival date even if you don't pay the balance until you check in. The shipment date is not dependent on whether or not you pay the balance first.

Yes, they will ship the MB's to another address. You can also pick them up at your resort.

Good luck with the surprise. Personally, I would like to be able to pack first.

If you don't customize them or confirm the shipping address they will be waiting at your resort.

I know the booklet I received says I had until Oct 7 to customize the bands, and this was for our stay starting Oct 18. But we did just recently receive a notice that they had shipped. They must have changed the lead time since the book was printed.
