When do you order MB's?

I am just curious how soon after you book your points, do you order your MB's? Yesterday was our 11 month window (YAY!!) and I hopped on at 8am and booked. Last night the whole fam got together and customized our MB's! We just couldn't help ourselves! It says we can customize until March 2nd. Does that mean they won't ship until then? So if someone decides they want a different color or name we can change it up until then? We have DS4 and DD7 - someone is going to want to change SOMETHING within the next 11 months, I just know it

You can change the customization until the cut off date. Once that date has past, the MagicBands will be processed and shipped out.

And even if you're done customizing way before the cut off date, they won't ship the Magic Bands until after the cut off date.

I was more being speedy because I was excited to see how it works. I like that we won't get them until march actually. I was curious if everyone got on right away or waited. We are going again a month after this trip, then again 10 months later. So maybe for those trips I will be over it and wait until lay minute

The customization of MagicBands is unrelated to making FP+ selections.

No, no fast pass options yet. That is 60 days out I think...I have 331 days until our trip...I am just having fun and trying to make the time go by, by making any type of plans possible...I love planning WDW trips and since we are skipping this year I am in a bit of a withdrawl. When I get desperate to plan something else I will add photopass to my account...That should get me to 180 days to add dining

You can customize them now but they won't ship until after the cut-off date which is about a month before the trip...This way you can change your mind constantly with no problems

If you customize them more than 30 days prior to your check-in date, they will ship a couple of days after the customize by date has past.

If you customize them less than 30 days prior to your check-in date, they will ship a couple of days after you customize them.

My sister's family is joining us in a 2BR but none of the kids know. Mine know they are going but they don't know that their younger cousins are coming too. I am having the MB's shipped to my sister because her kids are 6 & 2 and they won't know what they are. My kids would instantly realize the secret when 8 bands show up at our door

I had mine all customized before the cut-off date, and they shipped them the day after. It was USPS, and I had them within a week of them shipping.

Fun!! We are thinking about having the cousins surprise my son for his bday while we are there. I don't know if we would all be able to keep the secret though
