When do you mention your dining discount?

It is in the app store for android users. It is not in the apple app store. For that, you have to visit the website www.mouseperks.com & pin the website to your home screen, then you will have an app icon to press & bring up the info quickly.

And then, when we are ready for the check, they usually ask for the TiW and bring me the check with the discount. Easy.
Me: No thank you - we'll take the check. Here's our TIW card
Thanks for the responses. These are both different from at least the one poster who said that they wait until they get the bill and then advise of any discounts that they might be eligible for. So again thank you for the explanations!
 
Thanks to all! I've always thought it extra work for them to apply it after they brought the bill but then again, if I mentioned it when ordering, would they remember. Looks like they're probably used to whatever you do. I think I'll mention it when ordering if it's going to save them an extra step but will double check upon paying just to make sure it was applied. And if it wasn't, that's ok too. They can adjust it at that point. At least I tried!

Well, you did specifically ask about how to get the app, so I thought you were indeed interested in using it. Carry on.

I am not opposed to it. But if they have not bothered to make an app for iPhones I can just go old school and talk with people. Or just use the website on a browser on my phone. No “pinning” - I have enough on there app-wise without figuring out how to put a website on my home screen.

Or better yet, not patronize the site period.
 
Curious why anyone would choose to make additional work for a server and delay their own departure from the restaurant?
I want to see the total before the discount. Then if there is an issue..that gets fixed..THEN well add the discount.
There is no delay as we ask for the bill midway through eating...We want it paid and all squared up before we are done.
If the bill needs adjusted, then theyll do it. Then wee add any other discounts. That way, we know we get them after any other adjustments are made.
IE, If they made an error on the bill, i want the discount to come off AFTER the error is fixed..not before or my discount isn't as good as it should be. MANY MANY times, there has been charges on bills that is incorrect.
 
We usually are asked if we're on the dining plan and we'll mention that we have TiW and ask if they take it, if not, we mention AP and ask that. We normally do that so that they know to get the card before providing the bill so that it can be applied first and not have to be re-run after we get it. Just seems a bit more efficient that way.
