When Do You DVC?

We used to go mostly in August but we have been April, June, July, August, November and October.

We like to go now mostly in October for F & W. Next year going July (after cruise and October). We would love to start going May and/or October so that is what I voted. But who knows really

We do WDW for either Thanksgiving or election day weekend in November. We usually get a 4 day weekend for MLK day in January and that has been usually good weather and easy to do play the 7 month window.

Put down April, as that kind of covers spring break when we go to Vero Beach.

I said March, October and December but I really should have added January, too. We go in March for my birthday, October for F&W, and December for the holiday decorations and sometimes a cruise. The last few years we've also been able to do a late January trip just to get out of the winter weather for a week.

Creature of habit! Every year, give or take a day!

2 days in February, 5 days in June (1st or 2nd week), 3-4 days in August (before school starts and to buy school clothes at the outlet malls, and 3 in November every 2 or 3 years to catch the X-Mas decorations!

February with kids (Pres Week, but one is in college now, so I don't know about that anymore)

October without kids (F&WF)

We did August last summer with our two teens and two of their friends, but I don't see us running to do that again soon. We had a great time, but it was killer HOT! lol.

The kids are getting less interested in going, so I eventually see March as our month. We can get away from the cold weather up here and pretty much be assured of nice weather down there. (Feb. can be iffy.)

We use our membership multiple times per year - always February, May, and Septmber - and we are adding November this year too.

We alternate years between February and April school vacations. When we have an annual pass, we add in a short October trip to enjoy Food and Wine festival. We did go once around Thanksgiving, but I didn't list November as it was a 'once' and done thing as my oldest is in middle school now...although we did pull her out of school for 2 days to go to F&W.

We're in the midst of changing when we go, so it appears. Anyway, we WERE fairly regular with January and August. Last year we only went in January. This year we're going in April. We may be doing next January. After that? Subject to change as the family composition changes.

January as that matches up with the kids college vacations nowadays. I go to WDW all the time now, but only stay in A DVC then. When the kids were in elementary school it was easy to go in Jan as we pulled them out of school then. But as they got to middle & high school we changed to late August.

Usually in early - mid November. Many of us who live in NJ take advantage of the long teacher's convention weekend, that usually coincides with Election Day and Veteran's Day. The kids can miss 3 days of school and get a full week's vacation.

Here are my choices:

January - Marathon weekend (which usually lasts 7 - 10 days )

May - We're done with school (homeschool) so this kicks off our summer break

September & October - LOVE Food & Wine Festival and this is when we cruise

November - This will be our 11th year celebrating T'giving at HHI

I voted October because that is when we typically go, however, we also like to go in May as well. I can see changing to April as the grandkids have spring break at that time. We have been in August and Sept. and the heat is just so oppressive I doubt we will ever go again at that time.

Used to go last week of September/first week of October when the kids were little and we didn't worry about pulling them out of school. It was amazing!!! Now that they're older it's much to difficult for them to catch back up, so we go the late August - the week just before school starts.
