When do you consider clothes dirty?

my dh has a habit of putting on a pair of shorts, wearing them for 10-15min in the house, then taking them off, and into the dirty laundry..i try and tell him they are not dirty, and he says they are, he put them on..

Me, i wear pj/lounge pants in the house only..i will wear them 2 or 3 times..unless i spill something on them or something..he thinks i am odd...

So anyone else have a laundry opinion

clothes are dirty when they can stand up on there own in the corner. Where them once in this heat and its down the shoot. Your dh is doing the right thing.

Yep! I wash my bath towels weekly. I'm clean when I get out of the shower and just use them to dry off water, then I hang them back up on the hook. Doesn't bother me at all.

As far as clothing goes, shirts I will wear once then toss in the laundry. Jeans or pants I will fold and put away and wear 2-3 times unless I spill something on them or have gotten sweaty.

If things walk by themselves then they MAY be dirty. I was in the army for 36 years. If it looks dirty it is - otherwise it's not

WHY? I just want to know why. I do two loads of laundry a day, one light and one dark, but I don't understand how using a towel ONCE relegates it to the 'dirty pile'? I am at my cleanest at this point, aren't you???

My husband will wear the jeans/shorts that he wears to/from work a couple of times before he washes them, but only because he changes into his uniform when he gets there!

I swear, however, that I wash at least 20 of his SHIRTS a week... and every single pair of underwear that he owns! THOSE he changes twice a day.

I have "house" clothes that I wear twice and then wash.

If we wear it all day, it's dirty.

I wash my pajamas every other day.

using the resources to wash clothing that has hardly been worn is wasteful. There are many ways we can all do our part, refolding and wearing clothes that you've worn for only a little bit and are clearly not dirty is an easy fix
