I might be going to DLR on Sunday afternoon/evening and would like to see WoC. Preferably, we would want to go the FP route and not the food route, but we may have to depending on how quickly the FPs run out. The calendar only shows 2 WoC shows for that night...

How late in the afternoon/evening are you talking? If you get there in the afternoon, I'd say before 2 or 3, on a weekend, there might be FP's left for the second showing. I went in October (before Halloween time) on a Wednesday when there was only one showing, and the FP's were gone by 1:00. I don't know how crowded it will be though. I'd just say the sooner you can get there, the better! :)

We were there a week ago today and didn't have to wait in line for WOC FPs and got the red section for the first show. Don't remember exactly what time we picked them up, but it was a while after opening since the line was gone. We were in DCA on Tuesday AM shortly after opening and the line for WOC FPs went all the way down to Soarin'. Probably was the same on Monday but, by the time we went over to see if there were any left, the line was gone.

Everyday the first show fastpasses run out between 10:45 on a busy day and 1:00pm on a slow day.

The second show Fastpasses run out as early as 1:00pm on a busy day and are available as late as 6:00pm on a slow day.

Demand for the first show (everyday) remains high, and to get a fastpass you need to enter before opening (9:30) to 10:15am to be sure to get a WOC Fastpass. Or, have reserved a Picnic or Dining WOC ahead of time. To get Blue you need to enter at 9:30 and go directly to the Fastpass machines. The lines are much shorter now and only one person of your group needs to be in line, but all tickets must have been scanned at DL OR DCA to get a fastpass,

They have one show Monday - Thurs,
Two shows Friday, Sat, & Sun.

On weekend nights:
Friday & Sunday with 2 or 3 shows the last show is usually available into the early evening.
On Saturday they will run out in early afternoon.

FastPass Distribution Information:

The Fastpasses still run out at about the time shown.
1st show (8:00 or 9:00pm) Everyday9:00 - 9:50 = Blue
9:50 - 10:15 = Yellow
10:15 - 10:45 = Red

2nd Show (10:15pm) Friday, Saturday, and Sunday10:45 in the same order:
Ask a Cast member and they will tell you when (after) they change.
They do not know this ahead of time, as there are too many variables.

Picnic Box / Picnic Lunch: Orderd ahead of the day you get the 1st show Blue or Yellow
Purchased the same day (When Available) 2nd show Blue or Yellow
Note: "Picnic Meal" Fastpasses aka: Reserved Viewing are exactly the same as a Blue or Yellow fastpass obtained by having one person waiting 5-10 minutes in the Fastpass line!

Reserved Dining "PREFERRED Viewing" (A $30 meal at Arials or WCT)
Early Reservations = 1st Show that day
Later Reservations = 2nd Show (when available) that day...

GREAT INFO! Thanks!
Any information on weekdays with just one 8:15 show?

Any information on weekdays with just one 8:15 show?

Notice that Disneyland 1951 wrote First Show everyday, and then wrote second show Fri, Sat and Sun. Wether there is one show two or three the first show always runs out about the same time.

Disneyland1951, what day was this data from? (I am guessing it's a day when you saw WoC?) Is this from Thanksgiving week?

Thanks!

I have more than 70 WOC Fastpasses collected beginning June 12th (Day 2). Plus I check fastpass information 3-7 days a week in the park. :cool1:

In the last week I have checked 11/22, 11/26, 11/27, yesterday 11/28 at 12:45, and again today 11/29 at 2:00pm.
In the first month I collected more than 100 data points on a spread sheet, and during the first week I was the first to document how the the Fastpass distribution system worked [1st show Blue - Yellow -Red - Orange, 2nd show, 3rd show.] and where the colors locations were. Orange and Green locations no longer exist. I have seen the show more than 20 times, and drew a location map that is used on several guides and many posts.

PS: The Disneyland property was my playground before Walt Disneyland bought the property. My Avitar is myself and Jimmy Caruthers where Toontown is now located in 1951.

We were there yesterday (11/29) at about 1:15pm....just happened to be leaving Soarin' (which has a 10 minute standby...we went through twice, lol) and heading toward GRR when we realized there was no line for WOC FP...stopped and got the red section and according to the CM there were still plenty left. We ended up not going.....but we'll probably try for FP again if this is how it will be this week, lol.

Both parks were uncrowded yesterday.....wait times for the biggies were barely anything....POC we rode twice and the "wait" was really just however long it took you to walk non-stop to the boat loading....and the boats were going out half empty. HM we had a 10 minute wait the first time, and 5 the second. Toy Story Mania ended up closed for "technical difficulties" just after lunch and though we checked a couple times it hadn't reopened by 4pm when we moved over to DL.

Sunday was our first day in the parks and it was noticeably more crowded than yesterday.....but we still rode plenty of rides with only short waits (15 minutes or less is short to me....over 15 and I don't have the patience, lol).

I'm literally waiting for the girls to finish getting dressed so we can head over to DL to get a candy cane ticket. Probably more interested in watching them being made, but I figure I'm here I have to try something that has so many people excited, lol.

Last night we were heading for the train and decided to finally try NEMO for the first time, since there was no line.....in fact our sub was only about 1/2 full. And I have to say, I'm glad we didn't have a wait....I found this to be a very boring ride....my daughter called it lame....and compared it to WDW's NEMO ride which we found just as lame. Any wait is too much for me to ever ride this one again. I feel for the folks who stood in line in the summer heat for hours to ride this! Anyone else feel like this was a waste of money and space?

I am aware that you have posted a lot of data about FP times. I was asking if this was recent information (Thanksgiving week specifically) because I was planning on taking my mom to see WoC today, but we could not get to the park until 2pm and was wondering if we could get FPs for WoC. Based on your post, we cancelled and booked lunches for another day.

I have seen the show more than 20 times...
Hmmm... so you have over 70 FPs, but have only seen the show 20 times? That's a lot of FPs that others could have used. I wonder if this is why FPs run out... if lots of people throw away lots of FPs in a similar way. :confused3

Hmm.... shoot. I guess Mom and I probably could have gotten a FP at 2pm. Oh well. Lesson learned. Thanks for the information! Sounds like you have been having a good trip with light crowds. Yay! :cool1:

Perhaps they went with other people??? Is it unreasonable to see the show with an average of 3-4 people each time? :confused3 I would be careful to make such a judgment.

Not unreasonable at all, but that's not what was posted.

I was not making any judgements at all. I was simply reading exactly what was posted:

"I have more than 70 WOC Fastpasses."
"I have seen the show more than 20 times...."

No judgement, just curious,

its a day by day thing... you cant really predict... ive seen 8:15 show tickets go out before in 10 mins... ive seen it not even run out at all...

There are many ways to obtain used WOC Fastpasses. You may be assuming too much.
