I'm paying OOP and making some ADR's next week. Do we pay with a credit card when we make the ADR or when we actually go? I can't seem to find this anywhere.:confused3

For the ones that require a deposit (Cindarella's Royal Table, etc), you pay up front (as far as I know - I'm no expert!) to make the reservation. Almost all ADRs don't have any costs!

(edit: I'm always so worried about answering questions on this board because everyone knows so much, lol - I'm paranoid about being wrong!)

all an ADr is is a reservation. you pay after you eat your meal, except in stecial cases, like the above poster said, at places like HDDR and CRT they will take a CC number.

You do not pay for your ADR's up front. I do know they require a credit card for CRT (Cinderella) and if you don't cancel it, there is a fee or a full charge--not sure on what the penalty is. I do not know if a credit card is required for Signature Dining as we don't do anything where we have to dress up while on vacation.

CRT and the dinner shows (Hoop de Doo, Spirit of Aloha, and I believe Mickey's Backyard Barbecue at FW) require payment in full at the time of booking (note- full payment, not a deposit) with a credit card. A few other reservations - Akershus and California Grill come to mind - require a credit card guarantee, meaning they will take your credit card number and charge it a certain fee if you don't show up or cancel within the stated cancellation deadline.

Most reservations do not require any payment or guarantee at booking and payment is made at the restaurant following the meal.

Thank You! Thank You! I've only been to Disney one other time and my Mom got us an ADR at CRT for my girls' birthday. I thought she paid up front but couldn't find any references to up front payment at the places on my list for ADR's this time. Now it all makes sense!!! :goodvibes

I had to put a CC number down for Coral Reef, Narcoossee's, and HDDR. If we are no shows for our time, only then will they charge our credit card. There was a per person fee, though I'm not sure what that was.
