This would be my guess to. Maybe itineraries released end of April, and booking begins May 1st?After May 1 maybe? That is when the new CC levels go live.

Wow, that seems so late. This would be my guess to. Maybe itineraries released end of April, and booking begins May 1st?
The big question is will there be an itineraries that will make the pearls excited about booking 4 days earlier. LolThis would be my guess to. Maybe itineraries released end of April, and booking begins May 1st?
Yeah, but they are struggling to sell this years European cruises. It doesn’t make sense for them to start selling next years. They are probably going to need to lower the starting prices in 2024 since they had to discount all their sailings 35% this year.Wow, that seems so late.
I hope they do!Yeah, but they are struggling to sell this years European cruises. It doesn’t make sense for them to start selling next years. They are probably going to need to lower the starting prices in 2024 since they had to discount all their sailings 35% this year.

We're doing an Eastern Caribbean this May. Wish they had discounted that one! It's worth the wait if DCL can figure out pricing and itinerary's that will make people excited about booking again.
I have seen this exact argument so many times. They often struggle selling European cruises. And never did they wait until all were after the PIF date. And never did they adjust prices downward.Yeah, but they are struggling to sell this years European cruises. It doesn’t make sense for them to start selling next years. It wasn't an argument it's just my opinion.I have seen this exact argument so many times. They often struggle selling European cruises. And never did they wait until all were after the PIF date. And never did they adjust prices downward.
Last year the summer 2023 itineraries came out April 27. May 1 makes sense for when they might announce with the new CC “perks” that are coming.Wow, that seems so late.
I get what you are saying. But they did heavy discounts on European cruises at some point in the past as well. I distinctly remember one or two years with lots of European residents rates like Florida resident rates. I think it must have been around 2010.It wasn't an argument it's just my opinion.
This is the first time in my history of cruising with DCL that they have had to offer GT rates in January for Summer cruises. Normally GT rates come out after the PIF dates, and there has been years when discounts were scarce. Nothing is normal anymore. I would never say never when it comes to anything these days.
May 1st just seems so late for a summer release, that used to be closer to the Fall releases. Last year it was so late due to the war in Ukraine, they had to redo their planned Baltic Sea cruises. But who knows... they're going to miss out on some sales if all the other cruise lines already have summer 2024 released.Last year the summer 2023 itineraries came out April 27. Not like this and certainly not in January. Even last year my August cruises GT rate didn't drop until April.I get what you are saying. Also, all the price conscious people already rebooked their reservation to the GTY rates. Which are non refundable. Those who are still with normal bookings are either clueless or don’t mind the price. So, I don’t think it will matter.
I also very much believe that DCL will not go down in price for Europe next year. Very very few instances where cruises were cheaper in a following year than before.
I totally agree. I would not have been surprised if they suddenly had released Summer 24 in November 22 for a change!Like I said nothing would surprise me either way. Nothing has been normal the last few years.
They always release way later then other cruise lines. I'm not sure that matters.May 1st just seems so late for a summer release, that used to be closer to the Fall releases. I thought I read that because of the Magic's age, Disney is going to start keeping her in and around the Caribbean/Bahamas/United States and start sending the Dream to Europe during the summer. The previous pattern (before Covid and war in Ukraine) was that they were released the second week after the end of the half deposit promotion. So next Thursday would be historically the first possible release day.
We never know, but I think this year there should not be any reason for a massive delay. Unless they question whether to send Magic or Dream if they have trouble filling the Dream in Europe with DCL prices.
Disney Cruises dont have to stop at a foreign port. They choose too in order to avoid paying us taxes and abiding by us labor laws.Cruises are perfect for the Carribean with lots of small island close together. Maybe for the Greek islands, too.
Cruises don't work for visiting an entire continent of Europe. How do you cruise the Alps?
Cruises don't work for Hawaii because laws prevent cruising the Hawaiian Islands without stopping at a foreign port which are far, far away.
