When do we book?

OK, I have a good idea of what I want for our family of 5:

Thanks to all the help here, I know that we want to book a family suite at All Star Music for next August for a week. (We're teachers, teaching a summer SAT prep program. We can't really go until it ends.)

We can be pretty flexible on the day of the week if it means cheaper air fares.

We want 4 or 5 days in the parks, with park hopper option.

We're still discussing the meal plan. I'm thinking of getting it for 3 or 4 days if that's possible.

Sooooooooo now what? Do I call a travel agent? Do I book it myself online? Do I wait until next August's rates are published?

:confused3

Well, we are all here patiently waiting for the 2008 rates to come out.

I suggest that when the rates come out you play with dates and dining plan and what not on the website to see differences in price. I like to do this to figure out how much we are going to pay, and if we can afford it, etc.

As far as the dining plan is concerned, you cannot choose how many nights you want. If you stay 6 nights, it has to be purchased for 6 nights. DDP is purchased based on the length of your stay.

I personally like to figure out my package online and then call CRO to book with the website still open so that I don't forget anything.

Check out renting DVC on the rent/trade bd.
