In your insistence on being "right" about this, you fail to consider that 14 days following first use MUST INCLUDE the first day.
You have to count the first day...
otherwise, there would have been no USE of the ticket on that first day.

It says, "14 days following the first USE."

It is important to know that this is not the case. If you use it, it is good for 14 days - period. The time that it is used, or what it is used for, on day 1 is immaterial.

It is less than a day. 1 day = 24 hours.

If I use a ticket to enter Disney Quest (for example) at 6pm, I do not use it for a day, or even close to a day. Even if we qualify that as one day of use (which I have no problem with), the policy does not state that the tickets are good for 14 days of use.

I am not ripping the actual policy, just the wording. It is misleading.

A day in a park is considered a day. WDW isn't open 24 hours, so a day is considered to be park hours. Whether YOU decide to go at rope drop or later in the day, you are still using a DAY, Disney time.

For me at work, Monday is 10 am to 8 pm. Wednesday is 5 pm to 8 pm. Thursday & Friday are 8 am to 5 pm and Saturday is 8 am to 3 pm. I work 5 DAYS a week. I don't work 24 hours each day and I don't work the same hours each day. Same as going to the park different hours. Doesn't matter how many hours, it's still a DAY.
