I'm trying to make the CP count as part of my mandatory internship for my major to graduate at my school, but to do that, I have to jump through some hoops and apply at my school to be able to work at Disney. I have an application due September 14 for my school, and I figured it would take them a week to figure it out...so September 21.

When does Disney close the applications? Will I be too late? Will all the good roles be taken??? EEP! Help a hopeful CP out!

They won't close them until at the very least November because they'll still be doing presentations then. :)

If I were you, I'd start the application process now. There's no guarantee that you'll pass the web based interview (there have been many horror stories on that web interview, just check here: http://disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2263420 ), so you might as well attempt it and make sure you can get past that roadblock before you bother your school office.

If you successfully finish the web interview, then you can schedule a phone interview. The phone interview will probably take place about a week after the web portion is completed, so hopefully by the time your phone interview occurs, your school office will have approved/disapproved your internship.

Incidentally, which college/major do you do that requires an internship to graduate?

honestly i'd just apply now for disney
and then deal with your school stuff assap
if you get accepted and your school doesnt approve, just deny the invite

Will denying the invite hurt my chances for later though?

also- the internship is required for my major to graduate. It's a semester-long internship.

Guess I'll go take the web-based part now...

nope! many people have denied the invite and tried again and got it again another year

i mean its said that its kind of selfish to do that and potentially take someone else's spot but i think disney relies on x amount of people denying every year anyway so i wouldnt worry about it
plus, if its required i cant see it being too much of a problem with your school anyway

good luck! and careful with that web interview, be consistent with your answers and read carefully :)
