When do the TAKE DOWN the Holiday Decorations?

I can't decide when, of if, we can afford to go this year. I would really only go if we could see the holiday decorations. Does anyone know WHEN they come down? I was hoping to afford the New Years crowd and maybe go the end of the that week. Will the World still be decorated?

They usually start taking them down the first week of January. Keep in mind that between Christmas through New Year's, it is the most expensive (and most crowded) time of the year to visit WDW. If you are looking to see the decorations during value season, I would suggest going sometime between the week after Thanksgiving through the week before Christmas. Much, much less crowded and all the parks and resorts are decorated to the hilt.

They took them down the weekend of the 7th-8th this past January... we were there that weekend and were surprised they were still up.. but by the time we were leaving on Sunday, most of them were down.
