When do the schools get out for Easter?

I live in the UK - my DD has a 2 week break starting on 8th April. I wondered whether US holidays were the same. Would the week of 8th April be a really really busy time to visit - Good Friday is the week after.

Interesting - only 5% (and 5 people including myself voted this week 11-15th April - so do you think this might mean low(er) crowds. Also - the usual weather question - I have the link for average temperatures/rainfall etc but have you experienced any extremes at this time of year - ie unusally hot/wet/cold etc

The week before & the week after Easter Sunday are always going to be busy.

Spring Breaks are usually any time between early/mid-March to mid/late-April.

I just did a quick check of two of the largest SoCal school districts (LA Unified and SD Unified); both have Spring breaks throughout April (exact dates depending on track), so I would say, yes, it will be busy.

I know lots of schools have breaks throughout March and April, depending on when Easter is that year. But like previously said, the busiest weeks are most likely the week before and after Easter.
I went in March this year and it was pretty busy...seemed a bit busier than when I went in August! Warmer too, which was odd!
The weather has been interesting....
