We have 0730 reservations at o'hana and are stay at AKV. Are the busses running early enough to get us there on time?

There is no bus from AKV to O'hana. You will have to transfer at a park or take the monorail from MK.

Disney transportation runs according to the theme park schedules, but in general start 1 hour before park opening and end 1 hour after closing (I believe the DTD buses are the exception and run until 3:00am). Hopefully the day of your reservation is an early opening day for the MK so the buses for it would start at 7:00am. You could take a bus from AKV to MK and then transfer to another bus headed to the Poly or use the Monorail.

We've even taken a bus to Epcot then caught the monorail to TTC then transferred to the monorail that stops at the Polynesian. Hopefully one of those two parks, MK or Epcot, will have early entry on the day of your reservation which means the buses will likewise be running that much earlier.

an early morning cab ride isn't that much money and is a lot less stressful.

I recommend the cab ride....much less stressful and you are in control of when you leave and when you get to your destination....:yay: Have a great time!

Well, now that you're on the Transportation Board, if you look around, you'll see that buses from resorts to parks start running around 6:30, to accommodate breakfast ADR's.

If you're at the Kidani bus stop at 6:30 for the first MK bus, you'll get to the MK by 7, which is when the Resort Monorail starts running. You should have just enough time to get to Ohana for your breakfast.

When you board the MK bus, ask the driver if it's the way to get to the Poly. The driver may offer to take you there directly, but don't expect it.

(BTW -- there's no apostrophe after the O in Ohana; it's Polynesian for family, not an Irish family.)

Nope. Buses ALL start running from resorts to the parks at 6:30am...every day. They do tend to run less frequently than regular park buses do, so you need to plan accordingly.

If I had an ADR at 'Ohana for 7:30, I would be tempted to just take a cab from AKL. If you get out to the MK bus stop by 6:15 and get on the first bus that comes along you will be at MK by 7. Then, walk up to the monorail platform and wait for a monorail to come and over to the Polynesian..you are going to just about make it. It takes about 5 mins to get to the monorail platform and then you may have to wait 5-10 mins for a monorail to come, then it's about 15 min to the Polynesian.
