When do the AP rates come out?

During my recent visit I upgraded my hopper to an AP . Now I would like to consider a split stay for my upcoming trip and spend the first 2 nights at a moderate or maybe AKL. The dates are 10/30 and 10/31. I am told that the AP rates are not out for those dates.

Does anyone know when to call about AP rates? Or the liklihood of getting AP rates for those dates?

Hi! I've posted a link for you that will show the historical release dates for AP discounts. It looks like last year they released the one you and I will need on Aug. 16!

If you're considering spending the first 2 nights at a mod or AKL, are you thinking of then switching to a value?? If so, I'd suggest switching so that you start out in the value and then switch to the nicer resort. We did that our last stay, and we really appreciated going from the value to a nicer room at POR. I think we'd have been bummed if we'd have had to downgrade for the 2nd half of the trip.

That would be my inclination as well. However, my husband and I will be at Universal 10/27-10/30. I am moving over to WDW on 10/30 when my husband leaves and meeting with a Grand Gathering group on 11/1. The Grand Gathering will be at Pop. So, if I do the split stay, the mod or deluxe will be at the beginning of my stay.

I don't think I'd be disappointed with POP after staying deluxe. We really liked it when we went last Feb. If you've never stayed don't worry about it being not up to par as I've heard the other values can be. I think the main advantage over the other values would be the food court and the location. Not so far a ride on the bus to the parks!
