When do the after christmas sale start in the US ?

We'll be at WDW during the second half of december. As always when we're in Florida we plan to do quite a bit of shopping since a lot of things are a lot cheaper there.

In Denmark the biggest sale of the year starts on December 27th. Do they have a similar sale just after Christmas in Orlando ? and if yes - What date does it usually start ?

In my opinion, the after Christmas sales in this country have been very diluted by the BEFORE Christmas sales. There are deep discounts in many stores for the week or so before the holiday. By the day after Christmas, there isn't a lot left.

Some stores will mark things down 12/27 (with possible deeper discounts following a few days after), but it just isn't as much fun as it was a few years ago.

Already we're seeing ads for some Christmas items 40 - 50% off and it's just mid-November for goodness sake. I'm to the point that I hate to buy anything because I KNOW it will be cheaper a week later.

I think retailers have put consumers in the mind-set that they are not going to buy anything full price anymore. I don't know how they'll ever turn this around.

Around here, the slashing of prices even further are the day after Christmas (hence the name. "day after Christmas" sales LOL). That would be the 26th. Up and out bright and early! As mentioned, there will be plenty of sales up to Christmas.

It looks like we have to scedule some shopping time early on the 26th

The 26th is also a holiday here, hence the first day after Christmas is the 27th

I personally have no luck the day after Christmas...I usually have great luck in the middle to late January or before Christmas (espiclly the BF sales). Just my opinion, and perhaps where I shop and what I need.
