as the title of the post asks??

Unofficial Guide is usually late August/early September.

Claire ;)

I seem to recall that most places aim to have them published around July/August but, in reality, they often aren't available until towards the end of the year. I am anxiously waiting for the new Brits Guide and new Unofficial Guide for next year.

The Brit's Guide should be out (fingers crossed!) at the end of October. We are putting the finishing touches to it in the course of the next month :)

Thanks Simon :thumbsup2

We always get your guide, we think it's fab!

Keep up the good work, i'm sure it must be time consuming ;)

Just a bit! :scared:

But we love the work, so it isn't really work. We especially love the work when it's at the publishers and we have a few weeks to catch up on everything else before the proofs arrive! :thumbsup2

Thanks everyone - Simon, We are going on Christmas Day and will be there until January, I haven't tried one of your books before (but it comes highly recommended) would you recommend that I wait until October for the 2008 one or buy the 2007 - will there be a lot of changes?

Thanks
Gems

Hi Gems. Given when you are going, I would definitely wait for the 2008 edition. We are working on a complete redesign at the moment that should make it look better than ever, plus it will have the latest info on all the new attractions, etc, and several small new features. We tend to change about 10-20% of the book with each edition, while everything is usually tweaked in some way or other (even if only to cut out a few words here and there to create space elsewere). We will have a whole new chapter on two-centre holidays in Florida (with a lot more focus on the beach resorts), while there will also be more shopping info than usual.

:thumbsup2 thanks Simon that's great! I will wait until the new book comes out.

sorry to sound stupid - but is it available in say smiths or waterstones??

Yes they sell them in all the usual book shops in Solihull. I shall go and have a mooch one day when I haven't got the kids with me! (shopping with children = impossible!)

hi,both the brits guide and the unofficial guide 2008 can be pre-ordered from amazon.co.uk,they are giving a release date of august,i just ordered mine.:goodvibes

I've always bought Birnbaums - is it better???

I always buy Birnbaums as I love the photos and layout, but there is nothing like as much information as there is in the Brit's Guide. The Unofficial Guide is a massive book with oodles of information - I like it very much as I like the detail but it can be too much for people due to the level of detail.

I don't think the Brits Guide will be released in August - the author himself has said above it probably won't be available until October :)

:rotfl: Yes I agree with you!
I think I will get the Brits Guide this time, I got the unnofficial guide for 2007, but I have mislaid it  so I need a new one!

I have got the Unnofficial Guide to WDW with Kids too which is good for parents.
