when do schools usually get out?

when do local schools release? i want to go as CLOSE to june as possible because i dont want and refurbs going on, i havent been there in 10 years and we used to go every 1-2 years, its tradition! but we moved and ended up not going. now im married and have a son, and my DH never has been even on vacay let alone disney! so im REALLLLLLLLY hoping to avoid refurbs, atleast on my fav rides, and hoping to avoid too big of crowds as we will be bringing a 2 year old. my mom is coming, she also hasnt gone in 10 years since we last went! so yay, we can go on rides together, me and dh. lol. but does anyone know about when school averagely releases? i know it was the first week of june when i was a kid, and i know where we live now, in illinois its the last week of may, but i THINK they plan it that way because most years they DONT get out till the first week of june, because schools have snow days through the year and require the children to make them up. so parents, when do your kids get out? or anyone who knows!? thanks!

It varies between the end of May to early June. Where I'm at in Nor. Cal, it is the 1st Friday in June. Also remember Memorial Day is late next year...May 31st....so I'd avoid that weekend.

Most, if not all, schools will be out by Father's Day. If I had to pick a median week, it'd probably the second one of June for Souther California schools.

Besides the fact that So. Cal. schools get out in the 2nd wk of June or so, check the schedules for closing times of DLR because they host grad night for high school kids. When I graduated I think the park didn't open til 11p or something, but they have to kick out the public probably by an earlier time than usual. So check to make sure. Have fun!

I think the park closes around 8pm on grad nights.

I'm pretty sure So. Cal schools get out around the first or second week of June.

I'm in Central CA, we get out June 10th next year.

Something I discovered this year is that going just before S. CA. APs are blocked out for the summer makes it very crowded. We there the last three days before they were blocked (very crowded) and then half the next week after they were blocked (much less crowded).

Next spring the new water show at DCA is supposed to be open. This is huge and will surely draw in huge crowds to see it.

And this year, the new summer shows didn't start until halfway through June.

As for schools getting out, they run the range from end of May to mid June. And...some schools, before they get out, go to DLR as part of an 8th grade grad day. Nothing official, like Grad night, but the schools just take the kids there for a day.

All of these things have made me decide that next year we shouldn't go in June, but will go in July or August.

well so far im still stuck on the 2nd to last week of may. if anything earlier it would be the one b4 that. and yes the world of color is supposed to be opening, im hopin it is open by the time were there! i wanna seeeeeeeeeeee! lol. thanks everyone seems like the second to last should work out fine avoiding kids and memorial day. the days we go are MOSTLY week days anyway. i think we will be there one saturday. by the way, how are fridays there? are they usually busy like sat. and sun??? thanks again:d
