When do Pennsylvaina schools go back? (Planning for Hershey!)

I'm planning a trip for Hershey Park late this summer, and I was wondering when the local schools resume? I'm from Long Island, and the schools here don't go back until after Labor Day, and I thought that the last week in August may be good to go if the Penn. schools go back earlier. (We did this last year at Disney, and it was wonderful! (Also scary because Katrina was due to hit around there!)

Any Pennsylvaina DIS'ers care to let me know?

We are in NE PA and school will begin on August 28. We have a full week that day, and then will have Labor day off the next week. Don't know when the other schools in PA start.

Usually around here (near hershey, not in hershey) it is the week before labor day.

Ours is usually a week+ before labor day, but I have heard that attractions have been petitioning the state to make them after labor day state wide. Not sure if it passed or not.

It depends on the school district.

Sorry, I didn't read your post correctly. In PA, the schools all start on different dates. Hershey in August is pretty busy on the weekends, I don't know about during the week though.
