When do most waitlists come through?

Hi, I am currently waitlisted for a BLT 2 BR LV for 4 nights at the beginning of December. I was able to book dates for later in the month, but would prefer to travel a bit earlier if possible, so we are waitlisted then. I know this is a popular DVC travel time, but I was curious from those who have had a waitlist come through before if there are any special windows in which this tends to occur more frequently such as when still inside the 11-7 month home resort booking advantage window, just after the 7 month window opens up and people may switch resorts, just before 30 days when points might go into holding, or is it just pretty random? I am trying to balance how long to keep the waitlist as an option before submitting a work vacation request at which point it would be more difficult to switch work dates if the waitlist were to come through. We've been on a waitlist 4 times, and 3 out of the 4 cleared - but there was no common denominator. The timing was very random. I hope yours clears soon!

We have had the most success right after the 7 month mark.

I agree - with the exception of the exact 7 month mark when people might be switching from their home resort to another resort, I think it's very random. There was no rhyme or reason to the timing on any waitlist we have had come through.

We've been on two waitlists and neither came through. One was for BTL (one bedroom LV) and the other for SSR (two bedroom villa).

Hi. If your dates are the same time as the DVC Annual meeting, you may have a problem clearing the wait list for early December.

We were on a WL for early December last year. It was only for 2 nights, but it did not come thru.

Ours have always come through -I'd say within 8-10 weeks of going on.
