When do Military Rates Become Available?

Any idea on when October military rates will be released? I've tried looking everywhere and can't find any info on past years.

For the last 2 years, the renewal of Military Discounts in the resorts has been announced sometime from mid-August to the first week of September.

If past can be used to predict, expect 30 - 40% depending on category of resort.

I expect the ticket prices (if they offer 2014-2015 versions) to go up about 5%.

We just booked Sept and the military rates for were available.
I think in April the rates might be out for oct.

Yep, usually around August. We always make a reservation for what we want, then on the day the rates come out I change it, if there is availability for our resort, or I change resorts.

Yes, the past few years, the renewal (if there is one) has been released in August and typically goes through the end of September the following year.

Steve at the Military Disney Tips blog is always trying to get them to confirm a renew earlier but it tends to be a couple of weeks before or after Labor Day. Makes it a huge challenge for folks trying to plan Christmas trips around possible discounts. And there is no guarantee of renewal so, I think the best plan is to budget your trip and book the room you can afford without the military discount and then start stalking for the announcement. A warning that it is usually extremely busy the morning of the announcement and that rooms are limited so you may or may not get what you want off the bat, especially if you are looking for something not many days out from the new offer opening.
