when do luggage tags arrive

I know the magic bands are shipped separately from the luggage tags for the ME. is that correct? and how far ahead of the trip do you usually get the tags for the suitcases? thanks

Usually we get the luggage tags at least a month in advance. We have had our tags for probably a couple weeks and our magic bands haven't shipped yet

We usually get our luggage tags a few days after our magic bands arrive, so maybe 25 (or so) days out... but give or take a few days

We actually just received our magic bands and ME luggage tags on Friday, exactly 3 weeks before we leave. So excited!!

Can I ask, were they in the same box? I 'thought' I had read that luggage tags and MBs were now in the same box with the new MB packaging that started last month. I could be totally wrong with that, so just curious. Tx!

We received Disney luggage tags in the same box as the magic bands. They are cute, each one matches the color of the magic bands, and they all have different Disney characters on them. The ME tags came from our travel agent, so separate package, we just happened to receive them on the same day. BTW, we are loving the new magic bands

My trip starts on March 23, I got my DME stuff a week or so ago. It was mailed on Feb 14.

We have received our tags almost 4 months before our trip - as soon as we booked airfare and supplied the info to DME.

And we have had to call to get our tags because they weren't shipped.

And various timeframes in between.

In our experience - there is no norm.

Actually, the luggage tags you receive with your Magicbands are normal tags where you can write your name, address, phone#, etc. in case your bag gets lost. It's a "gift" from the resort. There are another set of luggage tags that will come in a booklet with your reservation information a few weeks before your vacation. These tags look like your typical airport tags whenever you check in a bag. It's long and has a barcode. If you plan on checking in a bag and want to avoid the baggage claim area when you arrive in Orlando, attached the long luggage tags to your check in bags before you check it in at your home airport. When your bag arrives to Orlando, the cast members who work at the airport will take your check in bags and drive it directly to your hotel based on the info from your luggage tag. All you have to do is head down to the ME desks and get on to the bus! Pack a day bag though because your check-in bag will not arrive until 3 hours after you land. It's a great service and stress free!

We have always gotten them about 40 days prior to our trip.

Luggage tags that come as a bonus for booking a package are not the same as the yellow luggage tags that identify your suitcases as ME luggage. I think some people are talking about one, and some people are talking about the other.
