When do I stop obsessing over spaghetti?

I've just started Atkins today, and so far I'm not missing sugar or even bread (which I ADORE). I just can't stop thinking about spaghetti. How long will it take to get over that? :confused:
 
It took me about a week to get over my cravings :( I still have some every once in awhile, but they are few and far between. Good luck on Atkins tho :)

How about trying some spagetti squash with either a red sauce, or white sauce (alfredo type). There is a show on the Food Network about low carbs, and he gives a great Alfredo recipe using Spagetti Squash (it looks great on TV, haven't tried it).

And for me it was seeing the scale go down 8 pounds in 2 weeks! NO spaghetti or carbs could talk me into putting an ounce of that back on- by the third week I start to add an apple a day and a piece of wheat bread (I exercise quite strenuously and I can't do Atkins long term- but those 2 week induction stints are enough to jump start off a plateau and curb my cravings.)
 
I found out today what lmhall is talking about...I got on the scale this morning and in 2 days I've dropped 2 lbs.! THAT'S helping me to forget spaghetti! At supper tonight we went to a restaurant and I got spaghetti for my son but I refused to even think about taking a bite. I hope I can keep sticking to it! :Pinkbounc
 
Yep--you can do it!

Don't forget to check out spaghetti squash. We had it tonight and it is filling and delicious and fills my need for spaghetti. It is simple to fix and I think you might like it!

Thanks Obsessed w/ Disney...I'm coping better every day, although it's almost TOM and I'm always hungrier then. But I know what my goal is and I'm sticking to it! ::yes::

BTW, 3 lbs. lost in 3 days!!!!!!!
 
For me it was probably about 2 weeks into Atkins. My appetite just completely vanished. I had to remind myself to eat. Now I eat to live instead of live to eat. If you asked me a year ago if I ever thought I would say those words I would have said not in a million years.

I do get cravings every once in a while. When I do, I eat something legal and I'm fine. The weight loss sure is a great incentive to stick with the plan. :)
