And for me it was seeing the scale go down 8 pounds in 2 weeks! NO spaghetti or carbs could talk me into putting an ounce of that back on- by the third week I start to add an apple a day and a piece of wheat bread (I exercise quite strenuously and I can't do Atkins long term- but those 2 week induction stints are enough to jump start off a plateau and curb my cravings.)
