When do Christmas decorations go up around Disney?

Trying to plan a trip around Christmas time - when do the decorations go up?....and is it business during Thanksgiving weekend?

Trying to plan a trip around Christmas time - when do the decorations go up?....and is it business during Thanksgiving weekend?

Christmas decorations start going up about 10 days after Halloween . . . it is sad, but true! MVMCP starts November 11 or 12, along with the Christmas lights on the castle. Osborne lights and some of the Epcot Christmas activites start after Thanksgiving.

Thanksgiving weekend is one of the busiest times of the year at WDW. It will be jam-packed!

We were there early November in 2004 and things were on there way to being put up. However, they were not really outstanding yet. Some of the resorts had their trees up though.
