I've looked back about 11 pages and haven't found this answer, although the consensus is they go up by Nov 21st.

Thanks!!!

I can only give an estimate but I am sure someone who actually knows the dates will catch this thread and let us know. But I THINK the decorations will be down by either January 5 or January 12.

You know a good way to find out is to look on the DL site and find where they talk about Small World Holiday or Haunted Mansion Holiday and look at the end dates for those rides, sometimes it is in teeny-tiny print, and that means everything else will be coming down around then, as well.

Thanks, Sherry :) I'm trying to figure out how to see DLR all spiffied up w/o all the crazy crowds.

I agree. You need to see DLR all spiffed up at least once - and with the Haunted Mansion and Small World Holiday overlays - but without the crazy crowds. It is too magical of a time to miss out on! It seems to me that the last time I was on the DLR website and was looking at the little blurbs about the Halloween stuff and the Christmas stuff, somewhere in tiny print I saw an end date for those two holiday rides.

The last day of DLR's official holiday season is January 4th. I would expect the tree and most of the other decorations to start coming down on the 5th, and by the following weekend, they will be gone.

General rule of thumb based on past dates they go up by Vetern's Day weekend and go down starting the Monday after New Years Day.

We are going just for the day on Jan 2 to see the decorations. It says they are up until Jan 4, so hopefully they won't start removing things early. I don't know if it will be crowded or not, but I'm not going to worry about trying to get on all the rides, just want to see HM and IASW especially.

I was there on Jan 7 this year. The decorations were still up and I didn't notice anyone taking them down. But, Haunted Mansion was closed due to the changing from the holiday decorations.

I am pretty sure they only do the decorating and undecorating during 3rd shift, I could be wrong though.
