When do annual pass deals come out?

I'm the proud owner of a new Disneyland annual pass. Since I live in Northern California, I'm really excited to be able to visit more often. In fact, I was hoping to head down over Super Bowl weekend, since I imagine that it isn't very crowded. I had it in my head to try staying on property for the first time, since I knew there were great deals in January. But I've been patiently waiting, and nothing for February has been announced.

Since I'm a new passholder (just a couple weeks), I'm not familiar with when deals are announced, so I don't know whether there probably won't be any discounts and I should reserve somewhere else, or whether I should keep waiting.

Can someone give me some historical perspective?

Thanks!

Hi Jen

I'm in northern CA too. Be forewarned, now that you have an AP, you'll start justifying those weekend trips. I've left Friday after work and come home Sun afternoon.

Anyway, AP nights for Feb and early Mar came out this weekend. Many rooms have already been snapped up. Call 714-956-MICKEY and ask for the AP rate for you dates. They are about $20 higher than the Jan rates, but still a great deal.

Register your AP on Disneyland.com and then you can access all the deals. We usually don't get an announcement, we just have to check there periodically.

are there "deals" for all types of annual pass holders? or only for premium? we just purchased them yesterday...haven't activated them yet. for the hotel rates, are they a lot cheaper for an annual pass holder, as opposed to regular people? thank you in advace! :flower:

The deals are for the regular and premium at least -- not positive about the Southern California passes.

The prices can be great -- in January they had Paradise Pier rates Sun-Thu for as low as $80. That's pretty exteme, I understand -- but it's still awesome.

And the reservation center told me that you can reserve at the AP rates even if you haven't activated the passes -- you'll just have to have them when you check in.

Go to the disneyland website and click on passholders. Enter your Pass # and you will be "magically transported" to the "secret" passholder website. You can download the latest passholder newletter there (the Winter edition). This is where you will find out about any specials that are currently going on.

You should get the next AP newletter in the mail. It comes out four times a year (once each "season").

AP rates for the hotels are the same regardless of AP level. Rates can run anywhere from $79 (Paradise Pier) to $199 (Grand Californian). However, dates are limited and rooms are even more limited. Rates/dates for February and March were just released this weekend. You will not have to have an activated AP to make the reservation, just upon check-in. Other AP discounts are available for viewing on the Disneyland AP web site.

for the quick response & info! really appreciate it! :flower:
