When do AAA rates come out?

What does history tell us about what timeperiod the AAA rates come out for a new season? I know they're out one year in advance (booked our dec 2008 trip in early dec 2007 and got AAA rate), but are they there yet earlier?

I'm thinking about wanting another trip in sept. 2009 and going to splurge myself with one or two nights in a room with MK-view. I know these rooms go quick, so I'm thinking about booking around sept 2008 when I'll have a good idea of my agenda in 2009 and will have the dec. 2008 trip payed off and enough money set asaid to pay the deposit for the sept 2009 room. But then again, if AAA rates come out earlier, it might be wiser to book earlier to be sure I get the room.

What do you mean by AAA rates? I thought they offered a general % off all the time. Do they offer other deals as well?

They don't always offer a AAA discount. I know you can't get the AAA rate for moderates and values during xmas week.

You can book rooms up to 499 days in advance. So you can book a room for Sept 2009 sometime in June, depending on your actual dates. Then when the AAA rates get released for the year, you can probably apply the discount to the existing reservation. This is generally easy to do if you have a room only reservation. Gets trickier if you want to change to a package.
Since 499 days from Dec 31 2009 is the middle of August 2008, at that point all the days will have been released for the year, I think that around then is when packages and AAA rates will be released.
