When do 2006 dues (per point) come out?

If memory serves me right, usually mid-December. After the annual meetings are complete.

That's right, it is usually after the annual meeting and just before the new year. They usually mention something about it (without giving the real numbers) at the AM.

You will receive your due statement right after christmas day, like one to two days after, Merry Christmas ! :rotfl:

I should also mention the dues are due Jan. 14th but you actually have until feb. 14 after feb. 14 they are consider late and all late dues will be added. You can call MS accounting and give they a credit card to pay your dues, faster and much eaiser, plus why not get reward dollars with the DVisa or platuim Citibank Visa.

My last statement was dated 12/17/2004 - I don't remember what date I received it. Payment was due by 1/15/2005 and was past due after 2/14/2005. Hope this helps!

The budget usually comes out before the annual meeting and it shows what the dues per point will be, around November 20. It is reviewed at the annual meeting and the board votes to accept it. The actual statement comes out closer to Christmas.

Debbie B is right. You'll see the budget prior to the annual meeting for your resort. First up are BWV and OKW scheduled for 11/30 -- the rest of the resorts quickly follow with HHI the last one scheduled for 12/5. The budget will give the cost per point but I don't think it reflects any rebate (or fees due) on the actual 2005 taxes. (We paid an "estimate" earlier in the year.) The bills usually come as a "Christmas" or "New Year's" present from home. ;)

Pam is correct in that the budget will only be a close approximation to what the true fees will be. The part of the fee for property taxes is an estimate.

Wasn't it just last year we saw the jump between the early announced fees and the actual fees because when DVD got the actual tax notices they were higher than expected? Of course the biggest jump I think we've ever seen was due to insurance rates going up.

so if I am understanding this correctly the amount will be taken from my credit card and on 14th January and will be sent a statement just after Christmas to let me know what it is.

The first deduction could be higher. Last year at least some of us had to make up for DVC underestimating taxes due for the previous year. They made up the difference in the first payment and then the rest of the year was evenly divided.

I think if you are paying by credit card -- the entire year at once, you must contact them and make the payment. I don't think that is done automatically.

I don't have my anuual meeting notes with me tright now, but I thought we knew at the meeting last December that we already underpaid taxes for this current year, too. I could be wrong :).

mark&sue , if you pay your dues in one payment in jan. you will need to call MS accounting and request the payment to be charged to your credit card.
Or you can mail MS accounting a check giving enough time for delivery.

Thanks for your help.

I think I recall the guide saying as we are in UK we have no choice and have to have the annual dues come out all in one go on our credit card. I believe we only have to call if the credit card number changes. However I will check a bit nearer the time to make sure!!! I hope to book our trip in October 2006 at the 11 month window in November and will check then.

Once again thanks for all your advice. The exchange rate right at the moment is good so I hope it stays this way for January as I have 520 points I think it will be over £1,000.
