First of all, I must apologize to those who were reading my previous trip report...life happened and it got put in the completed section when it had just begun. However, this is a different kind of trip and I have yet to see another like it being posted.

Let me introduce myself! My name is Courtney. I am a college graduate, 23 years old, and a very large Disney (and Harry Potter) fan! Here is me!

This past September one of my friends and I went to Disney World! It was my first visit and I loved it! Amy had been once when she was very little and didn't remember much. We had an absolute blast and I will cherish many of the memories we made that week - and for anyone who has not been, MNSSHP is a BLAST!

Here are a few pics from our trip for your viewing pleasure!

They aren't in any type of order, but just some Disney highlights. We also went to WWOHP and loved that too...we ended up going twice because we loved it so much. :goodvibes

Anyway, what makes this such a different trip than usual is that going to Disney World changed my dreams and all of my plans for life (which had been honestly boring). I have worked at a local water park for 7 years and I love it there. It is my second home and I love the entertainment industry and seeing all the people having a good time/vacation. I vaguely dreamed of moving to Disney World and working there...then I came home and thought nothing more of what seemed to be a passing fancy.

Then came the snow storm. I hate cold weather. I hate driving in ice. Its awful and by December I had made up my mind. I was moving to Florida. I have had two reactions. Thats so AWESOME!!!! and You. Are. Insane. Luckily, I have a good head on my shoulders and began to save up immediately. I informed Amy and our other best friend Callie. I also invited them to join me if they wished. Amy has a bit of trouble with an illness and has had a hard time making it through college and wants to join me in a few years when she graduates.

My original plan was to move in September. Give myself a year to save and prepare. The longer I thought about it, the more I changed my mind. I wanted to leave sooner. Callie, surprising both Amy and myself, decided to join me. She has never been to Florida, let alone WDW. She is done with college on July 26th...our moving date is July 28th. We are both saying goodbye to our families and the only home we have ever known...it will be a truly bittersweet day.

Despite people thinking we are crazy and me getting in a car wreck a few days ago that destroyed my car :scared: we are still going. The countdown is down to 17 days and some hours...we are full of so many emotions...life will never be the same but with Disney being "home"...I dont think we will have a problem! :rotfl:

So, since Callie has never been I have insisted she know WDW as fun before work...as we both hope to work there. Im willing to do just about anything, but I prefer photographer. Photopass is the best idea I have ever seen. Anyway, Callie and I are spending two weeks in the parks. From August 2nd through the 15th we will be going to Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Animal Kingdom, Blizzard Beach, Typhoon Lagoon, and DisneyQuest. Perhaps we will even make it to the Boardwalk...who knows?

So, please join us two crazy girls on our ultimate adventure and keep an eye on my trip report when it shows up. If we become cast members, it will be a never ending trip report with random updates!

TTFN!

I missed a lot in my first trip. I did not realize how big the parks were or all there was to do. I never saw a rope drop, I missed a lot of THE rides that everyone says are a must (Including Space Mountain and Splash Mountain :confused3). I intend to rectify that while at the same time allowing Callie to have her first trip be a ton of magical fun.

Here is a breakdown of what we hope will be our two weeks. The only thing that may change the order is if it is supposed to downpour all day, we will do anything besides BB or TL. I understand that if bad weather happens and you don't come back, you dont get a refund. Makes sense to me...if its just occasional showers we will keep to the plan.

August!

2 - Magic Kingdom
3- Blizzard Beach
4- Epcot
5- Typhoon Lagoon
6- Animal Kingdom
7- Hollywood Studios
8- DisneyQuest & Downtown Disney
9- Blizzard Beach
10- Magic Kingdom
11- Animal Kingdom or Epcot
12- Typhoon Lagoon
13- Blizzard Beach or DisneyQuest
14- Epcot, Hollywood Studios, or Magic Kingdom
15- Blizzard Beach, Typhoon Lagoon, or DisneyQuest

As mentioned above, this trip is mainly Callie's. I am letting her decide on most things...the only thing I insisted on was that our first day be Magic Kingdom. To me, that is the only option and she seemed to agree completely. I am the researcher of the two of us and she basically let me control where we go. We will be getting a photopass and making this a big trip. The only difference is that when we leave the parks, my dog will be welcoming us to our new apartment and our own beds. :thumbsup2
