When did you start???

Just curious when everyone starts packing. Tomorrow is 100 days to WDW!!! DS6 said we should start packing now. I think he's seen the commercial of the 2 boys sitting on the suitcase too many times!

Since is it cold where I am...we have no need for the majority of the clothes I would pack. I just don't want to be silly starting too soon. I've already bought some things purposely for the trip but haven't really collected everything in one area.

How nuts should I be???

My trip is at the end of June and I already started packing. Ok so maybe it was just a mini battery operated fan that I found on clearance at Target ($1.25) but that counts as packing. Right?

We always pack a few days before we are leaving. I know...I know...We put it off until the last minute. But it works for us.

I have started going through our clothes now for our March trip. I know I need to buy some new stuff & I will start that next week.

But the actual packing does not happen until a few days before.

Heck on our last trip, we packed the NIGHT BEFORE we left. Crazy right?

Can't do that this time though. We have a 6:20am flight out, so we have decided to stay at the hotel AT the airport the night before. So I guess I need to pack 2 days before we go.

On the plus side, I always have what we need, have never forgotten anything & in fact, always have just enough "extra" to cover us.

I don't think 100 days is too soon to pack, assuming you have room in your house for the suitcases! Because the clothes you are packing are not currently needed, there is no harm in packing them away.

I always pack early, as it gives me something constructive to do while I wait for the trip to arrive. I set up the siutcases in an out of the way area, and add things to them as I get them. That way the suitcases are very expertly packed for the trip there. Now the trip home is another story, that's always a mess!

My trip is in jul15-22 and i have started making a list of everything we needs to pack and writing out a list is just as fun as packing to me. I would like to purchase new lugagge because who wants to take old stuff with them to disney husban just his eys. I dont want to pack until it gets a little closer like the week of so i can have something to do.

I have a Disney plastic bin where I keep things that I would mainly use for Disney (or any trip really). I have our collapsable cooler, specific toys/books that I save only for the plane etc. As I buy things for our trip I just throw it in the bin. I also have an empty drawer in my dresser where I gather clothes & food and such for a trip. That I don't usually start until a month or so before a trip.

Also, since we have family in Florida and my dh will decide on the spur of the moment to go I always keep summer clothes in a plastic tub in their rooms so that I can access it easily if I need to.

It's never to soon to pack.

I've had my "Disney bag" packed since we returned from our last trip.

At the end of the summer, I washed and packed shorts, swim wear, beach towels... that we won't be using again until our trip.

Next week I'll buying for the trip and tossing them into the Disney bag;
Ponchos, toothpaste, gum, small bottles of Downy and tide...

The more I do now, the less I have to do before we leave.

Well, it's not exactly "packing", per se, but I'm already standing around the open hatch of my minivan and trying to mentally "fit" everything in that we want to bring (and we're not going until November!!! ).

We leave on the 26th and I have not started packing, heck I do not even have my Christmas decorations down. I will do that tommorow.

I will probably do it on the 21st. I want to check weather and stuff.

I used to be an ealry packer but found myself "forgetting" and changing my mind, etc. Sonow, I lay everyhting out but don't actually put it in suitcases/carryons until the day or two before.

I just tryed summer clothes on my taller son and only about three pairs of shorts fit Looks like I have a lot of shopping to do before summer gets here and we hit the road for sunny Florida. It never is too soon to start the proccess.

I officially started packing today. Bought cute luggage at Target on clearance. It was a 3 pack for a very good deal. They are identical so the boys didn't have a problem. Now I just have to add my own touches to the outside so I can tell them apart.

Also bought DS4 new swimming trunks. Of course, he had to put them on right away. It's 30 degrees outside. Boys will be boys.

DS6 has turned into a crazy person. The next 100 days is going to be very entertaining to say the least.

I hid their carry on bags and started putting things in them. I like the idea of making it a surprise. Something has to be on this trip. Why not start with the first thing that morning on the plane.
