When did you know if you got your date?

During our site visit Joe told us that we will not know on the exact one year date if we got our venues. We want December 6, and he said we will not know until the monday after which is December 10. Has anyone else heard of this?? When did you know if you got your date?

we got told the next day i think but i did pester alot so i think they told me to shut me up!!

I found out on the year mark. They ran the lottery the weekend before and because I was the only one that wanted my date she confirmed it right away. The only thing I didn't get was my first choice for the dessert party.

I found out 2 days after the date. From what I understood from Pam was that on your one year date they submit your name in to see if there is availability for the day, time and places you want. It can take up to a week for them to know if you can have your spot for sure. Just in cause there is a lottery or something else that might be of concern.

My 1 year date was this past Saturday (Nov. 24th). Bill called me yesterday to let me know that we were booked for Monday, November 24, 2008 at 5pm for SBP with coctail/reception at Ariel's and Dessert Party at UK Lower. YEAH!

Especially since I emailed him Monday with a change of venue...We were looking at The Attic for the Coctail/reception, but because of the larger minimums, we chose to change to Ariel's...

Waiting is tough..but it's worth the wait when you get the call!

No I talked myself out of it. For a couple reasons actually. For one thing I knew it was going to be stressful waiting for venues and the chances of a lottery were high. Then I saw the christmas decorations and loooooved them sooo December 6th it was!
