I haven't really been on the boards lately due to being sick, going to HHI and Thanksgiving and I get on this morning and see a couple of threads about a DVC AP discount. I couldn't believe what I was reading. When did this happen?

Welcome Back and Happy to see you are feeling well enough to check in on us!

The official annoucement is due out in our next issue of Vacation Magic. It is also posted on the DVC website. The Dis found out after much speculation about 2 weeks ago.

It is great news and many of us are very excited!! :Pinkbounc

Yay! This is great news. I tend to live on the regular Community Board, so I didn't see a previous thread on this topic. Is it 10% APs? Do we still get a discount off of length of stays, as well?

Thanks,
L :smooth:

Even better, it's $100 off APs and $125 off PAPs starting Jan 2, 2005.

Here's a portion of the info from the member site:

2005 Member Savings
Walt Disney World® Resort Ticket Product

Discount Off Retail Price Ages 10 + Ages 3 - 9

Annual Pass $100.00 $85.00
Florida Resident Annual Pass $20.00 $17.00
Annual Pass Renewal $75.00 $64.00
Premium Annual Pass $125.00 $106.00
Florida Resident Premium Annual Pass $25.00 $21.00
Premium Annual Pass Renewal $95.00 $80.00

Wow, that is great news. It sounds like someone from WDW management surfs these boards! - Well, I'm glad they do! ; )

The AP discounts were also brought up at today's annual DVC board meetings. For those who aren't fully aware, it comes out to a 25% discount and is the best AP discount that anyone receives. It in fact is a better discount than even the Florida resident discount.

On a side note, while speaking with some DVC managers after the meeting, and while speaking about internet discussion boards (my term), one of the DVC managers mentioned DISboards by name. And yes, confirmed that they actually monitor this board as a means of member feedback. This information had already been stated by others and now I have heard it directly myself.

And to ___________, if you're reading this, HI! It was a pleasure meeting you today.
