When did they start booking mixology pre-cruise?

I'm sailing to Canada later this month. We have a group of 4 adults and always enjoy mixology. I am platinum. Prior to this cruise, mixology was unavailable to book prior to the cruise. Even shoreside was unable to book mixology for CL guests. Now, they're showing on pre cruise to be booked and they're all booked. I'm super annoyed and it would have been nice had DCL informed me of this change.

Any idea if like Palo, some reservations are held back and available on board?

Yes, DCL does hold back some Palo reservations for booking onboard. Oh, you mean holding back tasting reservations? I believe not all times available for tastings are online, pre-cruise. Not really "held back" but, not scheduled until people start trying to get them onboard.

We were on one of the first Alaska cruises that allowed pre-booking of mixology and other tastings. We booked a couple online but were still able to book mixology and one other at Guest Services after boarding. Not sure how many they hold back but it seemed there were more tastings (and they had more people in them) than on our previous cruise in December.

Thanks for this. I'm hoping I can book immediately when I board. To miss something like this (when I'm platinum) makes me crazy. If Disney is going to change something they've done the same way for years, maybe an email would be helpful.

I only found out after seeing a post here about it. Mine was also already sold out and I am gold and could've booked it earlier. I just kept checking every few days and eventually got the reservation online. People book stuff and cancel. Maybe they even added one. Just keep checking.
