When did they SEVERELY cut back participants in TIW?

I just looked at the TIW participating restaurants from the Disney site, http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/passholder-program/dining-discounts/, and they have removed many, many restaurants at the parks and the resorts. We are staying at OKW on points in Sept. so are not participating in Free Dining but purchased TIW in December. I have 4 reservations that I made thinking that TIW would work because they were formerly listed as participating Sanaa, Coral Reef, Narcoossee's, and the Cali Grill, that have been removed. I am livid!

They haven't cut back on the restaurants at all. Disney's page is an overview of the different discounts. The Epcot restaurants listed are places that your AP gets you a discount (without purchasing TiW)

A more comprehensive list of TiW restaurants can be found here

Most Epcot restaurants are not Disney-owned and operated and sign contracts to do discounts like CM, AP, Tables, or the Disney Dining Plan and choose to do so on a yearly basis as it is THEIR decision whether to offer those discounts. There are a lot of "lists" floating around everywhere and they could be before or after contracts for that year have been signed.

Boy, I hope you're correct. I had looked at the site you provided and also at Allearsnet. but could not find a list actually provided by Disney. The thing that got me wondering was when I was trying to make some additional individual reservations on the Disney site. For "additional details" at each restaurant, there are icons indicating what they offer, such as participation in the Disney Dining Plan, handicap accessibility, etc. and TIW. For several of the restaurants the TIW icon was dark.

All of the places you listed ARE on TIW. I just got mine so i just saw the list yesterday. You should be fine.

I took this from the actual Disney World site. Hope this puts your mind at ease! :-)
Here's the most current list of restaurants participating in Tables in Wonderland. Print this page for future reference.

Thank you all. The 20% I was counting on at those restaurants w/ a party of 7 could be significant!

Those are AP discounts, not TIW discounts.

TIW isn't known to drop restaurants. In fact they kept a lot of CS on the list even after those locations acquired TS restaurants.

Unfortunately you can't trust the info and icons on the official Disney website all the time - we get lots of posts about misinformation on that website.

Thanks. I wish I would have been smart enough to realize that before I got myself so worked up. :guilty:

They didn't but back, if anything the list is even longer because they added restaurants from Swan/dolphin.

So I'm wondering-besides the Chef's Table at Victoria and Albert's, are there any other TS resturaunts excluded for the TIW card? I'm trying to think of some, but all the resturaunts I can think of are listed.

I know Teppan Edo and Yak & Yeti are not included in the TIW discount.

snels:)

Teppan Edo, Yak and Yeti, Rainforest Cafe's , T Rex from my experiences, but there may be more.

Even if you do not believe that they take the TiW card, ask. A few times, the server told us that they didn't take it, but then asked if we were AP holders or DVC and offered us those discounts.

I agree! The first time we used the card in March was at the Turf Club (which was on the list we had). The waiter, who I think may have been new, was unaware of the discount and had to ask another employee.
