Hi Guys!
I am so excited to see the big numbers and small ones and quite frankly...just everyone posting.
The air of success and dedication is contagious!
Hope fully things will get into a rhythm around here now with schedules and routines under way.
It is crazy windy and cold here. Plan on starting the C25K today. Hopefully tonight with Carsyn.
According to my scale I am down a total of 16 pounds from when I started and that should put me over 10 since here.
WW at 10 a.m. so I will use that weigh in like I have been doing to see for sure.
What is your Goal for the rest of the Week?
Mine is to track online everything!!!! I have slacked the last 2 weeks and although done okay - can always do better.
For those hitting goal and maybe a plateau....
Last night I watched on Bravo - Thintervention.
And one thing that struck me between the eyes is the amount of sugar in foods we eat.
The head fitness chick, Jackie, had a mission for everyone to go home and chuck foods they had that had more than 5g of sugar per serving. I am going to try this week to eat only foods that have less than 5g and see what my options are and really see what I might be able to ditch on a regular basis. Fruit obviously has natural sugar but again, added applesauce or canned fruits are so high! 19g in a 4 oz cup of sweetened cinnamon applesauce!
Hope that helps.
She also had a guy who admitted eating 2 cookies, to hold 2 cookies in his hand and wearing a calorie counter, run steps until he burned off those cookies. Great visual and after 5 minutes, sweating and swearing, the guy looked at his watch to find out he had not even burned one.
Again, sugar releases chemicals in your brain, like drugs do, that make you crave more and more. The thought is to kick sugars to the curb to help curb your appetite. The doc even said that you would have withdrawls for a few days with headaches etc.
I am a carb addict. No question about it but if I can cut the sugar in my daily routine, and only allow the higher sugar levels a few times a year for holidays, birthdays, vacations etc...#1 I probably will not eat as many as I usually would given the opportunity and again, #2 The daily eating habits I have gained are what led me to this weight. Not Thanksgiving.
Ok - There is all I know!

I miss seeing you all here too BTW.
Oh yeah - Bra's - I do know something else.
I was re-fitted at a store called Allure, here in MN. Just 2 weeks ago. They are also in Chicago and who Oprah goes to. (Sheree - they are on Grand in St. Paul.)
I have never had anything like this before.
Been to Bali's. Been to Vicki's. Blah Blah blah.
Always told my band size was getting up there so options were limited. Also, for full figures, they seem to assume you have a ton of b00b mass. Not true. You could stuff a softball on the top of the full cup ones they always tried to fit me in.
So like many here, I avoided it and would just cry trying on bra's.
Then I went to Allure. Best experience ever. The lady spent 45 minutes with just me and after the first measure, she was on the money and now it was just a matter of fit and comfort.
I went from a 44/46 to a 42 and then from a C/D to a DD/E, depending on which one. Going down in band and up in cup made all the difference.
The girls are actually where they are supposed to be and look fan friggin tastic and they had a ton to choose from that were beautiful not just functional. They are also made better, the stretch is not so much it does not fit after 2 wears and my mom and sister went there and have said the same thing. $65 is average cost but those babies are now riding in a Lincoln not a Yugo and I am not adjusting my straps every 2 minutes. My whole shape has changed and I need to go shopping for new clothes because the shirts I have all are huge now.
If anyone wants, I can post the number here and maybe they have other locations or suggestions of quality bra shops in your area.
