When did fitting rooms become dining areas ???

okay, I've been in retail a loooooong time, and I've seen a lot of things, but tonight was the first time I saw a group of people use the women's fitting room to eat their dinner. A woman and 3 teenage girls took a bunch of clothes in then proceeded to sit down in the corridor separating the fitting room stalls and eat subs, chips, sodas.... by the time they left there was a mess of food and clothes everywhere- I ended up damaging out quite a few things They left all their garbage in the fitting room. I just am since the mall we are in has a pretty large food court area . I spent most of the night cleaning up their dinner mess and writing up damage tickets . So is this some new fad I didn't hear about

Exactly why would anyone (let alone 4 people) just think they could sit down and eat in the dressing room of a dept store... and think it is absolutely okay behavior!!!

Pretty much as long as they aren't doing anything illegal then they can do whatever they want.

A woman brought in her husband or boyfriend at Kohl's the last time I was there. The stalls aren't particularly private either since they have louvered doors and show quite a bit of leg.

Apparently she needed him there to tell her how things that she tried on fit. I thought that it was bizarre so I left. People are getting weirder and weirder....

Ohhhh, this brings back memories! I worked at Express in High school and I have some stories.

Anyone remember as kid confusing a dressing room and a toliet stall??Anyone?? Didn't think so. Some fabulous parent let their toddler pee that is right PEE on the carpet in a fitting room!! Nice huh??? It gets better...

Grown women have changed their........um...........fem. products in fitting rooms and kindly disposed of the products in the POCKETS OF THINGS THEY TRIED ON! Luckily I was not there to witness this but boy, I never forgot it.

Cinybella-that's actually pretty common, unfortunately We've had so many things left in the fiting rooms lately that mgt. provided us with those telescoping " grabbers " to pick all up all the " gifts " left in the fitting rooms

Why didn't you stop them?

That's what I was wondering. If you caught them in the act, why didn't you do anything about it? Make them get up and leave, and if they refused, get a manager and security.
