When Did AKV-Kidani Have Its Last Refurb?

Title says it all.

When was the last refurb? I remember it going on in 2016. Was it finished in 2016?

What was included in the refurb?

I wish they were getting rid of the carpet like the other resorts, but I read they were not.

I love Disney resorts and think they are in generally a good state of repair... except that they let the rooms get way too worn out before they refurbish them.

AKL is a case in point

I think it is even worse for DVC, because the refurbishment has to come out of member fees. That is the main reason I won't buy DVC and prefer to pay out of pocket, I would rather pay more for a more up to date room.

New carpet, paint, curtains, bedding, etc in 2016. No new furniture or appliances- that will come in 2023, likely along with wood flooring.

I felt the rooms were in very good condition when I stayed earlier this year (2 bedroom and GV) besides the black appliances looking a bit dated. Furniture was in great shape with no discernable wear.

I saw photos of recently refurbished resort rooms at Jambo House (with additional lighting, new flooring, etc). Wondering if the Jambo House studios were also updated. Anyone know?

The current work at Jambo House is only on the hotel side. The AKV refurbishment of 2016 started with the Villas in Jambo House and then those in Kidani Village.
